POLYCURE DURAPOL 1045 Super Gloss

DURAPOL® 1045 Super Gloss is a premium moisture-curing polyurethane floor finish designed to deliver exceptional durability and a high-gloss, mirror-like appearance. It provides a tough, abrasion-resistant protective film suitable for interior timber, parquetry, particleboard, and cork flooring.

Surface Preparation

Proper preparation is essential for achieving optimal performance and finish quality.

Fill all nail holes and surface imperfections with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry completely.

Sand uncoated timber floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive on a flexible pad to achieve a uniformly dull, smooth surface free from scratches, nibs, fluff, or fur. Vacuum thoroughly and take care to avoid scratching the prepared surface.

Mixing

Stir thoroughly before use to ensure uniform consistency.

Application Tools

• 6mm nap roller or applicator
• High-quality brush for cutting in edges and skirting boards

Application

Timber Floor System:

1. Apply a liberal first coat of DURAPOL® 1045 or FASTASEAL® 3030, 3535, or 3540 using a 6mm mohair roller and brush for edges.
2. If using FASTASEAL®, allow to dry for approximately 45 minutes before sanding. For other systems, allow to dry overnight (minimum 8 hours, up to 24 hours).
3. Apply a second coat of DURAPOL® 1045 and allow to dry overnight (8–24 hours).
4. Sand thoroughly using 150–180 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive to remove nibs, fluff, and surface imperfections. Vacuum all dust.
5. Apply the final coat of DURAPOL® 1045 to achieve a high-gloss finish.

Final Finish

Produces a premium, high-gloss, highly durable surface that enhances timber appearance and provides long-lasting protection in interior flooring applications.
