Fiddes Universal Decking Oil is a high-performance, water-repellent treatment designed to deeply penetrate both smooth-planed and rough-sawn decking and exterior timber.
Formulated to preserve, protect, and restore, it helps prevent splitting and inhibits the growth of algae while delivering excellent resistance to wear and water penetration. The finish provides strong beading for long-lasting protection.
Available in Clear, which allows timber to naturally weather and grey, as well as three natural colour shades with added UV filters to help resist fading.

Ideal for use on pressure-treated hardwood and softwood decking, as well as panelling, sheds, and fencing.

Application
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from any previous finish.
Remove any fungal growth, dirt or moss on old timber prior to application.
Sand the substrate with an 80 grade sanding paper or 80 grade sanding disk removing all traces of dust.
Application
Apply in dry conditions.
Always test on a small area prior to initial application to check colour shade.
First Coat
Stir contents thoroughly, before and during use.
Apply consistently using a Fiddes Floor brush or 10mm microfibre roller and lay evenly, following the direction of the grain. Leave to dry for 6-12 hours.
Second & Third Coats
Sand lightly if necessary and apply as per first coat.
Longer drying periods may occur during application in cold, damp or humid conditions.
Coverage
A single application will cover approximately 8-16 sqm per litre depending on density of substrate
Re-application
Annual re-application is recommended. In areas of high weather exposure re-application may be required more frequently.
