POLYCURE AQUAPRO 8020 Clear Water Base Sealer

AQUAPRO 8020 is a single-pack, clear water-based sealer designed for interior timber, parquetry, particleboard, and cork flooring. Formulated with very low VOC content and free from formaldehyde and isocyanates, it offers a safer solution for applicators, building occupants, and the environment.

Easy to apply and fast drying, AQUAPRO 8020 provides excellent flow and levelling characteristics, producing a smooth, professional finish. Its non-yellowing formula and superior sanding properties make it the ideal first coat in an AQUAPRO Water-Based Coating System.

Surface Preparation:

Proper floor preparation is essential to achieve optimum results.

Fill all nail holes and surface imperfections with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry completely.

Sand uncoated timber floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive on a flexible pad to produce a smooth, uniformly dull surface free from scratches, nibs, fluff, or fur. Thoroughly vacuum all dust and debris. Take care to avoid damaging or scratching the prepared surface.

Mixing:

Stir thoroughly before use.

Application Tools:

• 6–10mm nap roller
• Water-based floor applicator
• High-quality brush for cutting in edges and corners

Application:

1. Ensure the floor has been properly prepared and all dust removed.
2. Apply a liberal coat of AQUAPRO 8020 Sealer using a 6mm or 10mm nap roller. Use a quality brush to cut in around skirting boards and edges.
3. Allow the sealer to dry for 1–2 hours.
4. Sand the surface thoroughly using 180 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive to remove nibs, fluff, and raised grain. Vacuum all dust.
5. Apply one coat of AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek or AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K and allow to dry for 1–2 hours.
6. If required, lightly sand with 180 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive and vacuum thoroughly.
7. Apply the final coat of AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek or AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K.

• 2 coats AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek or AQUAPRO 8270 Advance 2K
