Formulated specifically for Australian conditions and application methods, AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek offers excellent de-foaming properties and can be easily applied using a roller or applicator bar. This allows contractors to transition from solvent-based systems to water-based technology with minimal changes to their application techniques.

AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek delivers exceptional resistance to a wide range of household and industrial chemicals, including nail polish remover, alcohol, mineral turpentine, coffee, beetroot, and machine oil. It is available in a range of gloss levels and can be used as both a sealer and topcoat.

Surface Preparation:

Proper floor preparation is essential to achieve the best possible finish.

Fill all nail holes and imperfections with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry completely. Sand uncoated floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive on a flexible pad until the surface is uniformly smooth and free from scratches, nibs, fluff, or fur.

Vacuum thoroughly to remove all dust and debris. Take care to avoid scratching the prepared surface.

Mixing:

Stir thoroughly before use.

Application Tools:

• 6–10mm nap roller
• Water-based floor applicator
• High-quality brush for cutting in edges and corners

Application:

1. Apply a liberal first coat of AQUAPRO 8020 Clear Sealer, AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek, or FASTASEAL 3030, 3535, or 3540 using a 6mm or 10mm nap roller and quality brush for edges and skirting boards.
2. Allow the coating to dry in accordance with the relevant product datasheet. For tannin-rich timbers, FASTASEAL 3535 is recommended to minimise the risk of tannin bleed.
3. Sand thoroughly using 150–180 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive to remove raised grain, fluff, and nibs.
4. Vacuum all dust and debris.
5. Apply one coat of AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek and allow to dry.
6. Lightly sand using 150–180 grit sandpaper or screen-back abrasive and vacuum thoroughly.
7. Apply the final coat of AQUAPRO 8068 HiTek.
