POLYCURE POLYTHANE 2043 Gloss is a high-performance two-pack polyurethane floor coating designed for interior timber, parquetry, particleboard, and cork flooring. When used as part of a complete Polycure system, it delivers an extremely durable, high-build protective finish with a superior mirror-like gloss appearance.
Engineered for strength and longevity, POLYTHANE 2043 offers excellent flow and levelling, enhancing the natural colour of timber while producing a smooth, highly durable gloss surface suitable for demanding interior applications.

Coverage:

Surface Preparation:
- Fill all nail holes with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry.
- Sand uncoated floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screenback pad until uniformly dull and smooth.
- Vacuum thoroughly to remove all dust and debris.
- Ensure surface is clean, dry, and free from contamination prior to coating.
Mixing:
Thoroughly mix POLYTHANE 2043 Part A and Part B at a 1:1 ratio before application.
Application Tools:
- 6mm nap roller or applicator
- High-quality brush for cutting in
Application Instructions:
- Apply a liberal first coat of mixed POLYTHANE 2043 or compatible primer such as FASTASEAL 3030/3540.
- If FASTASEAL is used, allow approximately 45 minutes drying time before sanding. For POLYTHANE 2043, allow 8–24 hours drying time.
- Sand thoroughly using 150–180 grit screenback to remove nibs and raised grain. Vacuum all dust.
- Apply a second coat of POLYTHANE 2043 and allow to dry for 8–24 hours.
- Sand again using 150–180 grit screenback, clean thoroughly, and remove all dust.
- Apply the final coat of POLYTHANE 2043 Gloss for a durable, high-gloss finish.
