The TES5550 features cast parts provide superior strength over plastic or sheet metal parts. The nose piece shield protects interior parts, covers the depth of drive to avoid accidental adjustment and/or damage, and also absorbs impact if the tool is hit against work surfaces.
Tools with a quick release nose could break or be damaged when hit against work surfaces. The cast magnesium frame between the body and the magazine provides greater strength over sheet metal that could be bent or damaged if the tool is dropped. The casted steel exhaust deflector can handle impacts that plastic or sheet metal cannot.
