Its silky satin sheen enhances the natural beauty of timber while delivering excellent flow and levelling for a smooth, professional result.
Suitable for use on timber, particleboard, and cork flooring, DURAPOL can be used as a complete coating system and may be applied over itself without the need for a separate sealer.

Coverage
Base Coat
- Timber: 6–8m² per litre
- Cork & Particleboard: 5–7m² per litre

Surface Preparation
Proper floor preparation is essential for achieving the best finish.
- Fill all nail holes with a suitable water-based timber putty and allow to dry.
- Sand uncoated floors using 120–150 grit sandpaper or screenback on a flexible pad until the surface is uniformly smooth and free from scratches, nibs, or raised grain.
- Vacuum thoroughly to remove all dust and debris.
- Avoid scratching the prepared surface before coating.
Mixing
Stir thoroughly before use.
Recommended Application Tools
- 6mm nap roller or mohair applicator
- High-quality brush for cutting in
Application Instructions
Timber Flooring
- Apply a liberal first coat of DURAPOL Silky Satin or FASTASEAL 3030, 3535, or 3540 Sealer using a 6mm mohair roller and quality brush.
- If using FASTASEAL, allow approximately 45 minutes drying time before sanding. For all other coatings, allow to dry overnight (minimum 8 hours, maximum 24 hours).
- Apply a second coat of DURAPOL Silky Satin and allow to dry overnight (8–24 hours).
- Sand thoroughly with 150–180 grit sandpaper or screenback to remove nibs and raised grain.
- Vacuum all sanding dust.
- Apply the final coat of DURAPOL Silky Satin for a smooth, durable, and attractive finish.
