WOCA Invisible Oil is a water-based wood floor oil designed to provide light-coloured timber floors with an ultra-matt, natural appearance while maintaining the look and feel of untreated wood. It is particularly suitable for machine polishing on untreated or newly sanded timber floors.
Used together with WOCA Invisible Oil Primer, it forms part of a high-quality water-based oiling system that provides protection against liquid spills while maintaining a breathable, soft-feel surface. The oil contains no added colour, helping preserve the natural appearance of the timber.

Technical & Application Information
Coverage
Approximately 74–100 m² per 2.5L, depending on the timber species, surface condition and application method.
Drying & Curing
- Light use: Approximately 24 hours
- Full cure: Approximately 7 days
Do not expose the newly treated floor to water or other liquids during the first 7 days after application.
After 7 days, maintain the floor with WOCA Invisible Oil Care according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
Preparation
Ensure the floor is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease and other contaminants.
- Prime the timber floor with WOCA Invisible Oil Primer.
- Sand the surface using a suitable Bordeaux or lacquer sanding pad.
- Thoroughly vacuum the floor to remove all sanding dust.
- Ensure the floor is completely clean and ready for oil application.
Always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first to confirm compatibility and the desired appearance.
Application Conditions
For optimum results:
- Room and floor temperature: 15–30°C
- Relative humidity: Approximately 50%
- Wood moisture content: Maximum 12%
- Ensure good room ventilation during application and drying.
Application
- Shake and mix the product thoroughly according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Apply WOCA Invisible Oil evenly using a short-bristled paint roller.
- Work in small sections and allow the oil to penetrate for up to 5 minutes.
- Continue working the oil into the timber until the floor appears saturated.
- Buff the floor using a buffing machine fitted with a beige or Bordeaux pad.
- Change or clean the buffing pad regularly to prevent oil build-up.
- Remove excess oil using dry, lint-free cotton cloths or suitable polishing pads until the surface no longer appears wet.
- Allow the floor to dry and cure according to the recommended drying times.
Maintenance
For routine cleaning, use WOCA Natural Soap White or another WOCA-approved cleaning product suitable for the treated floor.
For periodic maintenance, use WOCA Invisible Oil Care and WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner as recommended by the manufacturer.
Clean Up
Clean tools and equipment with warm water immediately after use.
